Upper Hand Monitoring ("Upper Hand", "we", "us") is a cruise price-drop monitoring service that is launching soon. This policy explains what information we collect through upperhandmonitoring.com and our Facebook Page, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Early-access signups: your name and email, and any cruise details you choose to share (cruise line, ship, sail date, cabin category, guests, fare paid, final payment status, how you booked, travel agent name and email) and any booking confirmation you upload.
- How you found us: if you arrive from one of our links, the link's campaign tags (for example, that you came from a Facebook post). These tell us which posts are useful; they don't identify you on their own.
- Basic technical data that our website host records automatically, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To contact you about early access and the launch of Upper Hand Monitoring.
- When the service launches and you choose to start, to check prices for your cruise and send you price-drop information.
- To understand which posts and pages bring people to the site, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your information, and we don't share it with cruise lines. We never ask for your cruise line account login or password.
Who processes it for us
Our website and signup form are hosted by Netlify, which stores form submissions on our behalf. We use Google (Gmail) to send email. When monitoring launches, payment processing will be handled by a payment provider such as Stripe; we will update this policy before then. Our Facebook Page is operated through Meta's official tools, and Meta's own privacy policy applies to your use of Facebook.
We publish posts to our Facebook Page using Meta's official API. We read aggregate engagement on our own posts (such as reaction, comment and share counts). We do not collect personal data about people who view or interact with our posts beyond what Facebook shows publicly on our Page.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access signups until launch and for up to 12 months afterwards if you don't start the service, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop receiving emails, at any time by writing to upperhandsupport@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Upper Hand Monitoring is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell early-access members by email.
